GAIA EPICHEIREIN S.A.
GAIA EPICHEIREIN was founded in 2014 as a result of a broader alliance between agricultural cooperative organisations that collaborated with strategic partners from the IT and banking sectors, to serve a common vision for a more sustainable and competitive Greek agriculture. GAIA EPICHEIREIN is active in providing services that cover a wide range of the needs of agencies in the country’s primary and agri-food sectors. A key parameter for their development is systematic monitoring and coordination with European and international developments that affect the national primary and agri-food sector, as well as Greek producers. Particular emphasis is placed on the progress of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which is the basic frame of reference and support for all representatives of the EU’s primary and agri-food sectors, as well as for national administrations.
AUA LABORATORY OF DAIRY RESEARCH
The Dairy Laboratory of the Agricultural University of Athens was founded in 1920.
The Laboratory’s research activity is focused on cheese science and technology, dairy products with special nutritional properties, and biological indicators for the authenticity and origin of dairy products.
The laboratory has participated in research projects funded by the EU, the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, etc.
AGRICULTURAL LIVESTOCK COOPERATIVE OF VOIO
The ALC of Voio was founded on 30/01/06 with its headquarters in Neapoli, Kozani, Region of Western Macedonia. Since 2014, the Cooperative has owned a cheese dairy and has produced high-quality cheese products from milk sourced from Greek sheep and goat breeds.
The products produced by the Cooperative are: feta and batzos PDO, goat cheese, graviera, smoked cheese (Metsovone-style), myzithra, and cream.
The cooperative has a developed product distribution network in Macedonia.
